Painting

Most of my paintings featured here have a largely contemporary approach. My grandmother was an abstract painter as was my mother, so I guess it’s in the genes. I started my painting journey working with oils and an obsession with eyes. I eventually started to experiment with some new techniques such as blending oil and acrylic or adding grit into my paints for added texture. In line with my other work, I eventually settled into illustrative watercolour paintings. I still frequently combine mediums such as watercolour and acrylic.

My main inspiration is here often nature, I’m either trying to evoke a feeling (often with hues of blue) or trying replicate something I find particularly beautiful.
