Here you will find various portraits I have shot over the years, my older work tends to lean more towards fashion photography as this was the photography specialism I wanted to pursue at the time. My more recent work is somewhat more candid, often shot on a day-to-day basis of my friends and family.
My favourite work found here is a photography project is about the initial response to approaching a stranger. It’s about the interaction that takes place during those few moments in which you take a single photo.
I often recorded my subjects response:
“Why would you want to take a picture of me!?”
“I’m gonna have to charge you next time”, one particular lady nearly cried.
This particular project may appear to be a social documentary, but the exploration was more to do with how people respond to having their image taken by a total stranger and the little glimpses of them that you manage to capture.
